How is Rhinoplasty surgery performed?

For patients requiring treatment for the tip of their nose (called a rhinotip) and/or nostrils then this procedure is normally done under local anaesthetic. Patients will be treated in a clinic environment and are free to go home shortly after treatment.

In the case of full corrective nose surgery involving bridge of nose, nose tip and nostrils then a general anaesthetic is required. For patients requiring other regions treated, such as internal septum (called septorrhinoplasty), then your cosmetic surgeon will be able to advise on a case-by-case basis which form of anaesthetic would be most appropriate for you.
