Skin Tightening

Radio Frequency
Radio Frequency (RF) treatment uses electrical pulses to effectively tighten skin and reduce wrinkles.

What is skin tightening?

Skin Tightening

As our skin ages, it can change texture and lose elasticity. Exposure to the sun’s harmful rays, as well as lifestyle factors such as weight gain, weight loss, drinking alcohol and smoking, can damage skin and speed up the ageing process, which may cause us to look older than we feel.

Skin tightening can be achieved on the face, neck, chest and abdomen using Aluma radio frequency treatment. This radio frequency treatment is one of the few non-invasive and non-surgical treatments that is able to effectively tighten the skin.

How can it be treated?

We use Aluma radio frequency technology to safely deliver targeted bursts of heat energy to the middle and lowers layers of your skin. The heat energy tightens the skin’s existing collagen and stimulates the growth of new collagen, which plumps out the skin, making it appear tighter and more youthful.

How many treatments will I need?

This depends on how much tightening the skin requires. A course normally consists of between 4-6 treatments spaced roughly two weeks apart. Expected treatment outcomes and times will be discussed with the medical nurse practitioner at consultation.

Will it hurt?

No, most people notice a gentle warming sensation but discomfort is rare. Unlike a facelift, the treatment is relatively straightforward and non-invasive, so patients are able to return to their daily routine straight away. Side effects are minimal, many do not experience any at all.

When will I see the results?

Patients will be able to see results approximately one month after the first treatment. As new collagen continues to be generated and the old collagen stimulated, the skin’s appearance will continue to improve for several months thereafter. Patients will be able to see increasingly improved results with repeated treatments.
