Eye Brow Microblading – What’s involved?

MicrobladingMicroblading is New Eyebrow Cosmetic Procedure that Provides shape, density and colour. It is a real alternative to traditional machine method of cosmetic tattooing and provides natural looking brows that last for up to two years.

A superficial cosmetic procedure which involves applying natural pigments into the dermal layer of the skin. The procedure is carried out by a qualified practitioner using a specialist hand-tool that holds disposable microblades. The tool is designed to be safe and effective in the hands of qualified practitioner.

What is Microblading?

It differs from conventional semi-permanent tattooing because it is a manual procedure. When using a hand held microblade, the colour is deposited closer to the surface of the skin than the machine method leaving very fine and clean hair strokes with no spilling of pigment under the skin unlike machine tattooing.

How does it work?

The practitioner applies subtle pigments which create bespoke hair strokes that simulate natural eyebrow hair  that matches patients any skin tone. For patients that require a more dramatic look, traditional makeup provides the perfect solution for enhancing the semi-permanent appearance for that special occasion.

This advanced semi- permanent makeup technique will give you a look which is natural, personalised and effective, whilst defining the patient’s facial features. The long lasting results are so impressive that no one will know it is semi-permanent makeup unless you tell them. Microblading tends to last between up to 24 months. For patients requiring consistent appearance a colour maintenance programme every 6 to 12 months can be arranged.

Like all semi-permanent procedures microblading will require a topical anaesthetic that can be topped up throughout the procedure making it relatively painless causing minimal discomfort.

Caution

The practitioner will carry out a Symmetry Assessment.  Asymmetry is dynamic: a result of a difference in the tone of the forehead muscles and sun exposure of the skin. Please beware Microblading will not correct dynamic asymmetries.

Practitioners and eyebrow technicians are NOT cosmetic surgeons. The realistic goal is not to create perfect symmetry, but to make a moderate improvement to enhance the facial characteristics and natural beauty which are already present. The practitioner has to follow your natural eyebrow contour. Remember, no two eyebrows are ever truly identical.
