How It Works
Botox works on the principle that if a muscle’s movement is limited, wrinkles are not able to form. When injected into the muscle, Botox blocks the nerve impulses that cause wrinkles to form. The most common areas to be treated are ‘crow’s feet’ around the eyes, ‘frown lines’ between the eyebrows, and dynamic lines on the forehead.
Botox is virtually pain free, takes only fifteen to twenty minutes, and there is no downtime so you can get straight back to your normal activity. Results become apparent around five to ten days after the treatment, and by this time fine lines and wrinkles will appear reduced and the skin above the muscle will look smoother and more refreshed. Our practitioners will strike the balance between noticeable results and natural facial movement, so you will not suffer from ‘frozen’ face that can occur when Botox has not been appropriately administered. Skin will look more youthful and radiant, and results last for around three to six months.
