Dermatology services at Skin Medical are available for people who need specialist advice, diagnosis and treatment for a variety of skin conditions.Most people who have a skin condition can be diagnosed and treated in the comfort of our independent clinic with quicker access to specialist dermatology services when needed. Our services compliment the NHS services available in the hospital setting.
Department of Health has identified Dermatology Services and care as a service that can be delivered safely by skilled clinicians and Consultants within a comfortable clinic setting, reducing any delays that can sometimes happen in the National Health Service.
At Skin Medical our team of doctors, consultants and clinicians are able to provide verbal and written advice on all skin conditions six days per week with late evening appointment available. Our Consultant Dermatologists are available for skin health checks, skincare advice and specialist treatments. We offer a comprehensive one stop service which includes the diagnosis and treatment of skin problems.
What Typical Skin conditions can you diagnose or treat?
Skin conditions can be diagnosed and treated including rashes and common skin problems such as eczema, psoriasis, acne, urticaria and seborrhoeic dermatitis; rosacea; hair loss; hair and nail problems and excessive underarm sweating. At Skin Medical moles can be safely inspected, removed and checked for skin cancer.
Treatment of warts, skin tags and verrucas, moles, lumps and bumps, sun damage and early skin cancer are routine for our experienced clinicians.
What procedures do our Consultants provide?
The procedures that we can provide at Skin Medical include - cryotherapy, skin scrapings for mycology and intralesional injection with triamcinolone of keloid scars. Advanced treatments using laser skin resurfacing technology, ActiveFX and DeepFX for acne scarring, chicken pox scars and scar correction additional treatments using laser are hyper-pigmentation, melasma acne and rosacea.
